- We do NOT offer overnight or emergency services. In case of an emergency, please call 911, 988, or go to your nearest emergency department. If you are outside the United States, look up the crisis hotline or emergency line in your area or go to your nearest emergency room if in crisis.
Therapy is HIGHLY individualized and the length of therapy truly and honestly depends on you!
Some patients have specific goals in mind and it might take 6-8 sessions to reach that goal if they are focused and dedicated. Other patients realize that their goals are broader in range, are benefiting from consistent sessions, or would like bigger changes and so choose to be in therapy for longer.
During your initial sessions with a psychologist from CAYA Care, you will discuss what your needs are, and together you and your psychologist can determine the appropriate length of time for you/your child to reach your goals and make the changes you/your child need(s).
Evidence shows that weekly sessions do result in the best outcomes for most patients. We want the best outcomes for you, so we strongly encourage weekly sessions at first. However, we also know that life can get busy. Biweekly therapy services are an option for patients who are unable to commit to weekly sessions or who believe they’ve made enough progress to cut sessions down to every other week.
We want what sets us apart at CAYA Care to be our commitment to providing you, our patients, with the best evidence-based care. That means the therapies that we use have been tested in many research studies to determine whether they are effective with each presenting problem.
We currently provide the following therapies: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Behavioral Parent Training, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Written Exposure Therapy, and Narrative Exposure Therapy,
CAYA Care psychologists are considered out-of-network providers. In our experience, insurance companies will actually likely provide you with reimbursement for a portion of your visit if you have out-of-network mental health benefits. CAYA Care can provide you with a statement, called a superbill, that you may submit to your insurance.
Insurance companies are very tricky for the following reasons:
- They pay for things that are ‘medically necessary.’ This means that you likely need a diagnosis for a mental health disorder AND prove that it is impacting your health on a day-to-day basis. Many patients and parents seek treatment before their/their child’s issue would meet criteria for diagnosis as a mental health disorder.
- We are typically required to give a mental health diagnosis/code in order to receive reimbursement. This means disclosing a diagnosis to a third party.
- Telehealth coverage with insurance providers has proven to be difficult and many claims have been denied.
Instead of going this route, we will provide you with a super bill if you have out-of-network benefits, and then, if you choose, you can submit to your insurance afterwards and may be reimbursed for a portion of the visit.
You are able to instantly check below if you have out of network benefits for working with us.
We have a fixed rate of $200-250 for each 50 minute session with one of our psychologists.
For some treatments, longer 90-minute follow-up appointments may be needed. Those appointments are $250-300.
During these circumstances, your provider will speak with you about estimated costs before/during your first session.
- Because testing is HIGHLY individualized, we cannot offer a fixed fee across all psychoeducational testing services. Based on your presenting problem/concern, the appropriate tests will be chosen that can test areas of strengths and weaknesses and certain domains of importance for a diagnosis.
- We will offer a quote for psychoeducational testing after completing a brief 15 minute consultation call with you.
- To inquire about psychoeducational testing in Atlanta, GA, please call 404-954-2559.
- You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a good Faith Estimate, visit www.cams.gov/no surprises or call 404.656.2070
- Because your therapy session is a time reserved exclusively for you, we require a credit card to hold your appointment. Clients are requested to provide a minimum of 24-hour notice for cancelling or rescheduling an appointment to avoid a cancellation/missed appointment fee that may be equal to the cost of the session.
- For evaluation and testing patients, CAYA Care requires a $150 deposit to hold a testing slot. The deposit will be applied to any testing costs incurred at the time of the appointment. Should you choose to cancel your appointment, you will have your deposit refunded to you in the event that you have given 48 hours notice. If you have not given 48 hours notice for cancellation, or you do not attend your appointment, you will forfeit your deposit of $150.
Please be aware that insurance cannot reimburse you for these fees.
